Bio

Todd Ferris, MD, MS is the Chief Technology Officer for Research and Education in the Technology and Digital Solutions department at Stanford Medicine.  He is board certified in Clinical Informatics and Family Medicine and is a graduate of Stanford's Biomedical Informatics Training Program as well as part of the program leadership for the Stanford Clinical Informatics Fellowship.

Dr. Ferris has been at Stanford Medicine for more than 20 years, initially focusing on privacy and security by serving as the inaugural privacy and security officer for the School of Medicine.  He then focused on securely making the large amounts of Electronic Health Record data research ready via the Stanford Center for Clinical Informatics STRIDE project.  Recently he has been focusing on the technology enabled care delivery and clinical research space.
