Bio

Michelle Fanner is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience in financial and business operational management. As the Executive Director of TDS Business Operations at Stanford Health Care since 2015, Michelle leads a comprehensive suite of responsibilities including financial, IT sourcing, contracting, internal communication, organizational strategy, strategic partnerships, and administrative services for the TDS group.

In her professional journey, she served as the Director of Finance and Sourcing at the University of California, San Francisco Health, where she managed budgeting, accounting, forecasting, analysis, sourcing, administrative services, and human capital for the IT organization. At Williams-Sonoma, she led strategic vendor management and finance, overseeing business decision support analyses, deal processes, and strategic vendor management for the technology organization.

Michelle's global perspective was honed at Procter and Gamble where she was a global finance leader for the Beauty Care Unit, and at Alaska Airlines, where she directed finance and contracts for a $260 million operation division. Her foundational experiences include roles at Kaiser Permanente, Chevron, in their fast-track financial program, and United Airlines in Corporate F&PA and Maintenance and Engineering.

Michelle holds MBA in Finance, Strategy, and Marketing from the University of Michigan, and a BS in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, where she also showcased her leadership as the Captain of the Women’s Intercollegiate Basketball Team. She also holds a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) credential.
